Treat yourself to a YOGA & SOUND BATH workshop with Jo Caley (JOGA) and Naomi Hurst (Doda Yoga), which promises to combine all the benefits of a fun yoga flow class and a deeply restorative sound bath to leave you feeling energised with greater flexibility, yet soothed, restored and completely relaxed.YOGA & FACIA RELEASE FOR YOUR HIPS with Jo Caley, JOGA
Jo will kick off the event with an energising yoga flow class followed by some deep tissue release work using various props with a focus on our hips. This practice is designed to strengthen and release all those muscles around the hip that are strained, pushed and tightened as you run, cycle, workout or sit for long periods. We will go deep into these hip muscles with a creatively sequenced flow and some slower Yin yoga, using props to help us lengthen and strengthen the muscles and fascia of the lower body. Naomi will then be providing a Sound Bath (no water involved we promise), during the second half of the event, that will take you on a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating journey as you fly on the sounds of the vibrating gong and soothing crystal singing bowls. A sound bath is a self-guided meditation aided by soothing sounds from a number of deeply melodic instruments. There is no movement, you are free to lay down in any comfortable position, but we do recommend lying on your back to absorb the vibrations fully through your body and your ears.
Important points to note: Please bring a mat, blanket and some cosy socks. The sound bath is a relaxing and therapeutic experience where you lay on your mat and absorb healing sound vibrations. For this reason, you are also strongly recommended to bring pillows, blankets and anything that will help you feel more comfortable while lying down. (www.dodayoga.co.uk)
