Doda Yoga - Health, Safety and Participation Policy
By taking part in any Yoga class, Yoga Therapy session, course, workshop, retreat, or sound therapy session with Naomi Hurst or anyone working with Doda Yoga, whether in person, live online, or through on-demand content, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk.
Yoga classes and Yoga Therapy involve physical movement, breath work, meditation, and auditory experiences. As with any form of activity, there is a potential risk of injury, discomfort, or emotional distress. You are responsible for assessing your own physical, emotional, and mental readiness before and during any practice and for seeking medical advice if you are unsure whether these practices are suitable for you.
You understand that participating in Yoga classes or Yoga Therapy may pose a risk to yourself or others, and you agree to practice safely, follow guidance, and stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, or distress. In rare cases, if there is a serious concern for your safety or the safety of others, the instructor may need to seek support from appropriate services.
All participants are required to complete a student registration and health questionnaire before attending their first session. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date information about any health conditions, injuries, or changes that could affect your practice. This information helps us provide safe and appropriate guidance but is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
We do not provide medical advice or diagnoses. Guidance, adjustments, and content shared in Yoga classes, Yoga Therapy sessions, sound therapy sessions, or online resources are for educational, therapeutic, and general wellness purposes only. You should consult your GP or another qualified healthcare professional before starting or modifying any exercise or therapy programme, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from illness or injury, taking medication, or have any pre-existing health concerns. If you experience any pain, dizziness, discomfort, or emotional distress during a session, stop immediately and seek professional advice. You are responsible for practising within your limits and for modifying or avoiding movements, sounds, or techniques that are not suitable for your body, mind, or current condition. Guidance, adjustments, or suggestions may be offered during sessions, but it is your responsibility to assess whether these are appropriate for you.
Please ensure your practice space is safe. For in-person sessions it should be free from obstacles and allow adequate space for movement. For online sessions, it should be clutter-free, well-lit, and provide enough space to move safely. Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. For sound therapy, a pillow, blanket, and thicker mat are recommended. Some sessions may use aromatherapy, so please avoid wearing strong perfumes if you are sensitive.
Arriving on time is essential. Latecomers will not be admitted to the class. Booking in advance is required as drop-in spaces are no longer available.
Doda Yoga reserves the right to determine whether a session or service is appropriate for a participant. In situations where we reasonably deem that a Yoga class, Yoga Therapy session, or sound therapy session is not suitable, we may decline participation to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
By taking part in any Yoga class, Yoga Therapy session, workshop, retreat, or online content, you confirm that you understand and accept the inherent risks involved in physical activity, Yoga, and sound therapy. You take full responsibility for your own health, safety, and wellbeing, and you release Naomi Hurst and anyone working with Doda Yoga from any liability for injury, discomfort, or damages arising from your participation.
Participation in any session, live, recorded, or in person, is entirely at your own risk. Please review the Terms and Conditions when booking.
